Garage Web UI — handoff + reference

Handoff for adding a web UI to view/manage Garage (local S3, family-home-lab on .13). Do NOT use for AWS S3 offsite (separate system — see status page for that).

Tool choice

• Image: khairul169/garage-webui:latest — works with Garage v1.x (yours is v1.0.1).
• Skip Noooste/garage-ui for now (requires Garage 2.0+; would need a Garage upgrade first).

Garage facts (from /home/sam/Docker/Containers/family-home-lab/garage.toml)

• Admin API: [::]:3902 (host 3902), admin_token = GARAGE_ADMIN_TOKEN (in .env, NOT the checked-in placeholder)
• S3 API: [::]:3900, s3_region = garage

Deploy (on .13, alongside garage)

docker run -d --name garage-webui --restart unless-stopped -p 3909:3909 \
  -v /home/sam/Docker/Containers/family-home-lab/garage.toml:/etc/garage.toml:ro \
  -e API_BASE_URL=http://127.0.0.1:3902 \

• Access: http://192.168.20.13:3909 (or Caddy: garage-ui.lab.audasmedia.com.au behind basic-auth)
• Browser to S3 API may need the admin token (from .env).

Notes

• Garage = local S3 store for family-home-lab (portal media etc). Not the AWS offsite.
• AWS offsite status = https://offsite.lab.audasmedia.com.au (separate).
• Grafana (on .35) currently has NO data sources — deferred consolidation candidate only.
